Plot
Tracy (Lola Kirke) is an introvert freshwoman unpopular. Brooke (Greta Gerwig), a girl of thirty to be his sister, Tracy revolutionize life thanks to its energy and zest for life. This new comedy by Noah Baumbach follows the trail of his previous work, 'Frances-Ha', which also starred and co-writed Gerwig. This is a dramatic comedy that explores human relationships (in this case is introduced into a family about to form) with the urbanite life and its peculiarities and conditions as the stage.
'Mistress America' is the third project that Baumbach and Gerwig take forward together. Champions of American independent cinema, the connection between the director and actress (also writer and director) has caught beyond the professional level: they maintain a relationship for some time.
