Plot

David is a middle-class Jewish young man. He could be described as a stocky boy, homosexual, and afraid of flying. Due to the death of his uncle, he is forced to return from Europe to Buenos Aires. On this return trip, David learns that his mother has made the decision to disconnect the respirator that has been the only thing keeping his father alive for years. David returns to the house where he lived during his childhood, where he must stay afloat amidst the intimate coexistence with his mother and a voracious need to fill his existential anguish. As the days go by and he spends his time in Buenos Aires, he will try to avoid seeing his father in the hospital again by any means possible, although fate and life will do everything imaginable to ensure that this encounter happens.

The second feature film by director and screenwriter Iair Said, who also stars in the story, was presented at the Cannes Film Festival (Acid Section). The story is based on his own reflections that took place after the death of his father. With a very personal and characteristic vision of the author, he delves into the fundamental question: What is the price to be paid by those who remain alive? Without losing humor, the director manages to take the viewer on a journey around this question.

Iair Said already has a background that supports him as an artist. He is known for his documentary "Flora is not a Song to Life," which was awarded by the Argentine Academy. Also, one of his documentaries, "Imperfect Present," was selected in the Official Section of the Cannes Film Festival. The film has already received several awards. At the San Sebastián Film Festival, it was awarded twice. It received, on one hand, the WIP Latam and, on the other, the EGEDA Platino Industria Award.
