Screenwriters Lloyd Taylor (Spies in Disguise) and Robert L. Baird (Big Hero 6, Ferdinand) served as co-writers on Nimona, taking turns with writing duties at various stages of the script's development. While they both have similar character-first and thematic-first approaches when it comes to screenwriting, the process of adapting Nimona required a unique, but integral extra step of incorporating as many points of view into the script as possible in order to infuse the story with an authenticity that can only come from lived experiences.
