Plot
'Oink Oink' is a stop-motion animation film for the whole family. Set in a small town in the Netherlands, it tells the story of Babs, a nine-year-old girl who receives a piglet named Oink as a gift from her grandfather for her birthday. However, Babs' mother is not happy with the animal at home, so the little girl decides to take the piggy to puppy training classes and must comply with some rules: he cannot enter the house, he cannot enter the garden, and he cannot poop everywhere. Little Oink will change Babs' life and that of her whole family forever, but trouble will soon follow when the little girl realizes there is a much more significant threat to the piggy than her parents.
Directed by Mascha Halberstad and written by Fiona van Heemstra ('Sing Song'), based on Tosca Menten's book, 'Oink'. Menten is also the author of 'A Funny Mummy: The Sphinx of Shákaba' and 'A Funny Mummy: The Golden Beetle', novels that have also had their film adaptation. 'Oink' has been one of the five films nominated for Best Animated Film at the European Film Awards.
The people who voice the characters in 'Oink' are Hiba Ghafry, Alex Klaasen, Johnny Kraaijkamp, Loes Luca, Matsen Montsma, Kees Prins, Jelka van Houten, Henry van Loon and Remko Vrijdag.
