El Mundo
Every single form of sexism is shown on 'Ola de crímenes'. They are portrayed with violence, some gore and most of all, bad taste. The idea is turn the everyday drama of corruption and pratriarchy on the scenario of many unthinkable crimes. The result, even if it is uneven, is a film as liberating as free.
Cinemanía
The best thing about Maribel Verdú is that, even is she is overexposed, you can't get tired of watching her, because of the many faces and tones she has as an actress.
Fotogramas
Gracia Querejeta's cinematography lacks some energy, strength, but that doesn't matter: the narrative rhythm is carried by the cast, full of experienced actors on the genre, who know how to react with each reaction, with each line, where they should be contained and where the can let go. And they don't disappoint.
El País
'Ola de crímenes' has a story and situations so different from each other that even the cast seem to be lost, with different tones that mix just like water and oil, what makes the performances feel out of place in the movie.
El Periódico
The risk taken should be appreciated, specially dealing with the idea of making the male gender stereotypes be played by women, but on the film that play doesn't stick the landing entirely and the result is edging the sexist message.
