Older Than Ireland

This historical documentary tells the story of Ireland over a hundred years, as seen through the eyes of thirty Irish centenarians. Often funny and sometimes poignant, the film explores the journey of each of these people, from birth (at the dawn of Irish independence) to their life as elders today. The distinctive observational style 'Older than Ireland' provides a rare glimpse into the inner life of these remarkable individuals.

From an Irish person longest in history, Kathleen Snavely, 113 years, until the older man from Ireland, Luke Dolan, 108 years, we meet a colorful cast of characters from very different walks of Irish life and from all corners of the country's geography.
