Our Brand Is Crisis

This political satire produced by George Clooney and directed by David Gordon Green, focuses on the struggle of the brilliant strategist Jane Bodine (Sandra Bullock) to mend her damaged reputation and regain a place among the most successful within the profession. Her opportunity comes when a candidate for the presidency of Bolivia that keeps falling in the polls, uses the American elite team led by Bodine to change his public image. Jane, feeling hurt for gaining herself the nickname of "calamity" after a painful public scandal, decides to leave her self-imposed retirement to help the candidate and overcome once and for all his professional nemesis Pat Candy (Billy Bob Thornton), which is coaching the opposition. The film is based on the documentary by Rachel Boynton, that tells how the former campaign directors of Bill Clinton, James Carville and Stan Greenberg, are hired to help the Bolivian candidate with his candidacy.
