Plot

Documentary that explores the 'Houses' of the neighborhood's New York of Harlem in the 80's. A 'House' is a society of gays and drag queens, which has the form of a street gang. These associations are formed by a 'mother' and her 'children', the function of the mother is to preside over society and advise and look for its members. "Paris is burning" reflects the phenomenon of the 'balls' or dances organized by the associations from 1987 to 1989, at the moment of greatest fame rise.

Its a documentary about how the 'nights of the drags' are among the lower class of New York. The queens are interviewed and are observed preparing to compete in many "bowling". You can observe the people, their clothes and the whole environment, full of extravagance.
