Plot
1918. Pearl is a young woman who aspires to become a world-famous star. However, in the middle of the First World War and with a family of elderly parents, a young girl leaves her home to be able to pursue her dreams and something impossible. But that does not stop the young Pearl, because she is willing to let everyone know her name and, to do so, she will remove whoever is needed.
After the success of the horror film 'X', Ti West returns to the controls in this prequel to his particular saga. 'Pearl' stars a Mia Goth who already played the sinister old lady in the first movie, only with lots of prosthetics and makeup. The cast is completed by David Corenswet, Tandi Wright, Matthew Sunderland and Emma Jenkins-Purro. Goth herself co-writes the script with West in what will be her first screenwriting job.
The film is produced by A24 and will hit US theaters on September 16.
