'Quién te cantará' don't get to outpace its predecesor (an impossible challenge that, fortunately, the director avoids), but it is the creative maturity of someone who has decided to look forward instead of trying to repeat old formulas.
El Mundo
'Quién te cantará', the film that confirmed Carlos Vermut as one of the most refined (and sharp), precise and murky voices (all at once) of his generation. And even of those who will come.
ABC
Vermut braids the relationship of a pop star who has quit to her ego with an admirer and imitator, another woman without a voice of her own, who has the responsibility of making her remember her style, her songs, and does it through the mechanics of the melodrama and with a evident duplicity in the staging.
El País
The suspense ends soon for me. Does not advance, it is tiring, the murky psychologism abounds, the vain pretensions of attractive blackness, the non credible vampiritation.
