Raqa

'Raqa' is set in the eponymous city in the year 2014. It tells the story of two infiltrators with different objectives within ISIS. On one side is Haibala, whose alias is El Saharaui, an international spy trying to capture El Jordano, one of the most wanted leaders at the time of the criminal organization. In addition to him, there is also Malika, a nurse from Ceuta who is serving Europol and has arrived in Raqa with the same purpose.

In a setting marked by summary executions, the slavery that women are subjected to, and bombings, Haibala and Malika will each try to fulfill the mission assigned to them: to locate and deliver the leader of the fundamentalist organization, thus hastening the fall of ISIS.

Directed by Gerardo Herrero and starring Mina el Hammani and Álvaro Morte, the film presents two characters who have a double face. She appears to be devoted to the extremist cause, but in reality, she is a rebellious spirit who only wants to complete her mission. He may be seen as a tough and efficient person, but he also has a sensitive side.
