Plot
The story of this film from the Netherlands is set in the 700 AD, when the north of Europe was divided in two main areas. One of them was conquered by the Saxon and the Danish, and the other part was populated by the Frank. The last one have one purpose: to conquer Europe using the Christianity as a weapon to subjugate the heathen. In one of the most famous parts of Europe lives the King Aldigisl. The Frank assault his lands, kill the king and throw his son Redbad to the sea. He got shipwrecked and arrives in a Viking coast. The village adopts him, but he has one purpose: to go back to his own land and get it back. Roel Reiné directs the film starring Jonathan Banks, Renée Soutendijk, Loes Haverkort or Egbert Jan Weeber, among others.
