Return of the Hero

1809, France. Captain Neuville, a great seducer, asks the hand of the young Pauline with the distrust of his elder sister, Elisabeth. One day Neuville is called to the front and leaves his future wife, Pauline, with a broken heart. The sister of the abandoned woman decides to write letters in the name of her beloved to encourage her turning into his stories in a real war hero, but everything goes to hell when Neuville returns. Laurent Tirard directs and co-writes this historical comedy starring Oscar-winning Jean Dujardin ('The Artist'), Mélanie Laurent ('Damned Bastards') and Noémie Merlant ('A Week in Corsica'). A very funny French and Belgian co-production that premiered on February 14, 2018.
