Sink

Shot in South East London, 'Sink', tells the story of Micky Mason. Although he is a skilled manual worker by training, he has been forced into a zero hours contract unskilled labour position since the financial crash in 2008. He lives on a drug-ridden estate in South east London with his son and elderly father, who struggles from dementia. When he loses his job he panics about how he will take care of his vulnerable family, leading him to make some difficult and irrational decisions. 'Sink' is a story about survival, but not in an anguish or despair way, but tender, warm and funny. It is about people that find their way through against life's problems. It is about Micky Mason, a man that right now is doing the right thing.
