Sleeping Dogs

'Sleeping Dogs' is a psychological thriller directed by Adam Cooper, screenwriter of 'Exodus: Gods and Kings', 'The Divergent Series: Loyal', or 'Assassin's Creed', in his directorial debut. Based on the novel of the same name by E.O. Chirovici titled 'The Book of Mirrors', the film has Russell Crowe as the protagonist, who has already participated in other horror films or thrillers such as 'The Pope's Exorcist' or 'The Georgetown Exorcism', released also in 2024.

The 'Gladiator' actor will play Roy Freeman, a former homicide detective with memory problems caused by Alzheimer's, who is forced to review a case he cannot remember. As a man awaits sentencing on death row, Freeman must sift through the evidence of a decade-old investigation that reveals a web of secrets and betrayals.

Karen Gillan ('Guardians of the Galaxy', 'Avengers: Endgame'), Marton Csokas ('The Equalizer', 'Sin City'), Tommy Flanagan ('Sons of Anarchy', 'Gladiator') and Kelly Greyson complete the cast of 'Sleeping Dogs', which is scheduled to be released in theaters in Spain on June 14 by YouPlanet Pictures. In the United States it was released on March 22, 2024 with The Avenue Entertainment as distributor and will arrive in the United Kingdom thanks to Signature Entertainment.
