Some Beasts

Alejandro (Gastón Salgado) and Ana (Millaray Lobos) take their family on vacation to a remote island in southern Chile. The film contains in a strangely suffocating way the characters who have gone to the island with the goal and desire of Consuelo, Alejandro and Ana's daughter, and of these, to make a hotel for visitors in search of peace and disconnection with the pretext of returning to natural roots. A concept of ecological exclusivity with the label of biotourism, that his elitist in-laws, Dolores and Antonio, interpreted by Paulina García and Alfredo Castro respectively, do not quite understand.

What at first seemed like a family vacation in a paradisiacal place of walks, baths in the sea and disconnection will become a dramatic encounter when Nicolás, the guide who had taken them to the island disappears leaving them locked up there. This triggers in the worst acts of all family members that are much darker than it seemed at first.

A family drama that revolves around itself, in a monstrous transformation.

The film is directed by Jorge Riquelme Serrano, who has also been in charge of the script with Nicolás Diodovich, production and editing. The film stars Paulina García as Dolores, Alfredo Casto as Antonio, Consuelo Carreño as Consuelo, Gastón Salgado as Alejandro, Andrew Bargsted as Máximo, Millaray Lobos as Ana and Nicolás Zátare as Nicolás.
