Surfacing

Sofía is a mother who is going through a struggle between forgiveness and unconditional love for her son, Alan. Their reunion will be the opportunity for both to resolve the distance in the bond that increasingly separates them. Once the truth is revealed, the mother will have to deal with a greater grief between memory and maternal instinct.

With the return of her son Alan, after having spent four years in prison, the mother must learn to live with the past and understand that he is no longer the teenage boy she once knew.

'The Arrival of the Son' is the second film co-directed by Cecilia Atán and Valeria Pivato after 'The Bride of the Desert.' The cast features Maricel Álvarez, Greta Fernández, Angelo Mutti Spinetta, and Cristina Banegas.
