Movie references
Alejo Plah was inspired by films like 'Taxi Driver', 'Planes, Trains & Automobiles' and 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly' to make the play. In addition, he says that one of the characteristics of the film is that it is "a Western in a taxi without bullets".
Big Production
'Taxi a Gibraltar' has been shot in different locations: Madrid, Andalusia and Gran Canaria, where the Gibraltar tunnels where supposedly the English gold ingots are supposed to have been recorded.
Research team
The director, along with the co-writer of the film, visited one of the most typical bars in Madrid frequented by taxi drivers in the city in order to get the essence of each one of them and translate it into the character of León.
