Plot
The destiny of two men is crossed in an adventure where both will undertake a madness of trip that will take them to Gibraltar. León (Dani Rovira) is a taxi driver suffocated by numerous debts and angry with the system and the world in general. Diego (Joaquín Furriel) is an Argentinian as charming as a trickster who just got out of jail and who nobody remembers. Along this road they will run into Sandra (Ingrid García Jonsson), a woman from a small town in Andalusia who escapes from her bachelorette party without looking back due to the horror of life she leads. Three lives without direction that, desperate, will undertake the great experience of their life, find the cargo of gold hidden by the English during the Second World War in the tunnels of Gibraltar.

'Taxi a Gibraltar' has been shot in different locations: Madrid, Andalusia and Gran Canaria, where the Gibraltar tunnels where supposedly the English gold ingots are supposed to have been recorded.
Research team
The director, along with the co-writer of the film, visited one of the most typical bars in Madrid frequented by taxi drivers in the city in order to get the essence of each one of them and translate it into the character of León.
Movie references
Alejo Plah was inspired by films like 'Taxi Driver', 'Planes, Trains & Automobiles' and 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly' to make the play. In addition, he says that one of the characteristics of the film is that it is "a Western in a taxi without bullets".
