Solomon Grundy

Throughout, Ben Affleck's character recites the rhyme Solomon Grundy to calm himself down. In the DC comics, Solomon Grundy is actually a villain who comes into conflict with Batman, currently being played by Affleck, numerous times.

Animated Characters

Ben Affleck, Anna Kendrick, John Lithgow, and J. K. Simmons have all been in a Dreamworks animated movie. Affleck voiced Joseph in 'Joseph: Rey de los sueños' (2000). Kendrick is in 'Trolls' (2016). Lithgow voiced Farquaad in 'Shrek' (2001). J. K. Simmons voiced Kai in 'Kung Fu Panda 3' (2016).

A real accountant

Anna Kendrick based her character on her mother, a real accountant who went over the script and explained the math to her daughter.
