Plot
It is the oldest animation film that remains. Directed in 1926 by the German director Lotte Reiniger through animation silhouettes, it would be her only feature film, since during the rest of her filmography made exclusively short films. The day is celebrated in the city the birthday of the great Caliph, the powerful witch appears and presents his miraculous work: a horse that can fly through the air. The Caliph wants to own at all costs that magical steed and, by a trick of the evil sorcerer, get Dinarsade kidnap the daughter of the caliph. Prince Achmed, elder brother of the princess and heir to the caliph, decides to go to his rescue. Achmed will help Aladdin Witch Mountain Fire and magical horse. The brave hero fight against the African witch doctor to get his sister and also to get the hand of Paribanou, a fairy who is also kidnapped.
