The Animal's Wife's reviews
Media reviews
The Hollywood Reporter
The combination of heavily didactic intent, undisciplined storytelling, relentless melodrama and a mentality that thinks it?s clever to visually equate the story?s bad guy with vultures flying overhead results in a quite dreadful viewing experience in The Animal?s Wife.
Cinemanía
The result is brutal. Two hours of abuse and humiliation [...] A crude portrait that, as a spectator, underlines the ever-present contrast between the desperation of the screen and the ephemeral comfort of the cinema.
El País
Raw portrait (...) film hardly bearable in moral and emotional, which, although end up containing timely ideas in the social (...) offers an unnecessary explanation near the pleasure with the atrocities
El Periódico
Despite some good times [...] the film is tremendous and the interpretations, apparently naturalistic, are bad.

It is excessive and tiring in the highlighted showing of violence and its lack of subtlety turns it into a sample of manipulative and immodest cinema.
