Plot
Whoopie Goldberg is Laurel Ayres in 'The Associate', a financial analyst who works on Wall Street. After years reaping merits, it is clear that She can never succeed in a world dominated by men. So She decides to create her own company and invented a mysterious (male, of course) partner, Robert Cutty. This opens all doors closed to a black woman, until all Wall Street and the press begin to wonder... who is really Robert Cutty?
