Plot
This film tells the true story of Antonia Brico, a woman who has dreamed of becoming a successful orchestra conductor since childhood, during a time in which women, unfortunately, didn't have all the rights that they deserved. Set in the early twentieth century, the film explores this woman's struggle to make a place for herself in a man's world, a world in which she isn't taken seriously simply because of her gender. The film is directed by Maria Peters. The cast is formed by Christanne de Brujin (playing Antonia Brico), Benjamin Wainwright (in the role of Frank Thomsen), Scott Turner Schofield (as Robin Jones), Seumas F. Sargent (as Mark Goldsmith), and Annet Malherbe (as Antonia's mother).
