A director used to horror films
Adam Robitel has background directing horror films as 'Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension' (2015) and 'Insidious: Chapter 4' (2017).
Escape rooms as terror stage
As of popularization of Escape Rooms all around the world, terror's films have been inspirated by them. In 2017 there are two film that use escape rooms as stage but previusly they have exploted this idea with sagas as 'Saw' or 'Cube'.
A different tittle
The film directed by Adam Robitel was going to be called 'The Maze', despite in 2018 the crew change their mind and called it 'Escape Room'.
