The Good Teacher

'The Accusation' is a thriller directed by Teddy Lussi-Modeste, a director known for titles such as 'The Price of Success' or 'Je viens', and co-written with Audrey Diwan. It stars François Civil, Shaïn Boumedine, and Toscane Duquesne.

It is inspired by a true story that happened to the director, featuring the lead actor François Civil, who plays a high school teacher, Julien, who is falsely accused of sexual harassment by one of his students, Leslie, and must prove his innocence. As Julien seeks support from other teachers, his situation becomes increasingly complicated, as he is pressured by the older brother of the student and his peers. At the same time, Julien hides his homosexuality from his students and other teachers until an intimate video revealing his secret is leaked and begins to circulate throughout the school, which ultimately escalates the violence against him.

It is a co-production between France with the production company Kazak Productions and the Belgian production company Frakas Productions. The distributor is the Parisian company Indie Sales. The first image of the film was unveiled in May 2023 and it premiered at the Cannes Film Market. A picture that explores subjects as aolescence, education and sexual abuses.
