Plot
Jean-Luc Godard returns with a risky, precious and conflicting essay. By uniting classic movie clips and news sequences, often stretched, saturated and almost completely distorted, 'The Image Book' questions our relationship with film, culture and global politics. Godard has been responsible for the direction, script and editing of this film, winner of the Golden Palm special at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival. 'The Image Book' has fascinated the critics during their visit to the Toronto Film Festival and the San Sebastian film festival in 2018. It is important to note that this documentary is the 45th feature film of a director who has several masterpieces behind him. The film is produced by Mitra Farahani.
