The Ladies of the Bois de Boulogne

?The Ladies of the Bois de Boulogne? is Bresson second film after ?Les anges du péché?, so he is still in process of formation although he starts to show us what are his worries, that will be in presence in his later films.

This is also the first time he works with professional actors before he turned to using nonprofessional actors, this film stars Paul Bernard (Jean), Maria Casares (Hélène), or Elina Labourdette (Agnes).

The plot is about Hélène, who confirms her suspicions about her secret lover Jean, who has changed his feelings doesn?t love her anymore . Being full of hate, she decides to plan a revenge, so she acts as matchmaker between him and Agnes, a night club dancer, she met some years before.
