Plot
Biopic that tells the story of Pu Yi, the last emperor of China, since his birth in a noble family to his brief reign in the Forbidden City, to his abdication and fall with the Japanese invasion. Pu Yi went from being nearly a god to become a simple peasant worker at the People's Republic. Bernardo Bertolucci directs 'The Last Emperor', a movie that won nine Oscars in 1987, including best film, best director and best adapted screenplay. John Lone, Joan Chen and Peter O'Toole are the stars of this biopic.
