The Last Stop in Yuma County

A knife salesman gets stranded in a rural service area where he finds himself caught in a hostage situation when two dangerous bank robbers enter the scene. Travis and Beau, two brothers and criminals on the run after pulling off a million-dollar heist, planned to refuel before fleeing to Mexico. However, luck has it that they end up at a gas station in the middle of nowhere, where they must maintain appearances until a fuel truck arrives.

What could have been just another stop turns into a psychological battlefield. The atmosphere thickens with each new character that enters the scene, from a local rancher to an older meddlesome couple, a younger couple, and a sheriff's deputy. The tension continues to rise, especially with the heat of the desert, forcing the protagonist to face a decision that will change his life forever.

Director and screenwriter Francis Galluppi takes us on a journey through the Arizona desert where an ordinary day turns into a hell filled with tension and violence. The confined space of a single location, in this case, an isolated gas station, is utilized to create a setting where the focus is on the dialogues and confrontations between the characters.
