The Lesson

Nadezhda (Margita Gosheva) is a young English teacher who lives in a small town in Bulgaria. In her class there is a student who steals, Nadezhda find out who wants to teach him a lesson about what is right and what is not. However, the family drama will touch the door of the life of the teacher, who due to some debts with lenders by her irresponsible husband must find a way to settle the debt. This will cause a major moral dilemma in the life of the teacher. How is it possible to teach a lesson to others when herself justify these acts when they have to do with you? Bulgarian Petar Valchanov Kristina Grozeva and directed this drama which won the New Directors Award at San Sebastian Film Festival 2014.
