The Lost Honour of Katharina Blum

Katharine Blum is an innocent German housekeeper who falls in love with Ludwig. After spending the night together, the next morning the police arrive to her house in order to arrest Ludwig but it's too late, Ludwig is a bank robber and a terrorist, and he is gone. For this reason Katharine becomes the first suspect and she is arrested, humiliated and suspected to be a terrorist, dragged in the mud by the newspapers. 'The Lost Honor of Katharina Blum' is based in a Heinrich Böll novel with the same name and written and directed by Volker Schlöndorff and Margarethe von Trotta, who wrote the script with an emphasis on the harsh treatment of an innocent woman by the papers, the police and the public in general.
