Zhong Zhixing's "Magic Brush" composes a much more exotic proposal: a Chinese digitally animated production which brings back an old traditional tale which, in 1954 abd 1955, had already inspired two stop-motion adaptations.

Trying to catch up and behind Miyazaki (not too close), this story mixes mystic, epic, and fantasy. It tells us about doing what is right and it barely distracts us with its 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon' touch. Humans are not as sparkly as the landscapes, but its own identity and the beauty of this title are absolute.
