The State Against Mandela and the Others

In 2018 turns 100 years since Nelson Mandela's birth. He is the actual symbol of apartheid, but the first time he was a center stage was during the historic trial in 1963 and 1964. But there were eight others who faced the death sentence, like him. All of them decided to take advantage of this position, in order to turn their trial into a fight against apartheid. Recently they discovered archival recordings of those days and they transport us back into that time and the actions that took place between those walls.

This documentary, inspired in real archival recordings, is directed by Nicolas Champeaux y Gilles Porte, and it was nominated to the french Premios César in 2018 for Best Documentary.
