Jacques Arnault is the director of the NGO Secours Sud and plans to release 300 orphans of victims of civil war from Chad with his team and deliver them to French families who want to adopt. To do this, they invite the journalist François Dubois to accompany them and take care of the media coverage of the operation. The brutal reality of a country at war is beginning to affect the convictions of members of the NGO, which must decide where the limits of humanitarian intervention are.
