Plot
The police has arrested the Devil's Rejects: Baby Firefly (Sheri Moon Zombie), Otis Driftwood (Bill Moseley) y Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig) are now in jail. After several years and with the help of Otis' half brother, Foxy Coltrane (Richard Brake), they get out of prison and free Baby from the same fate. The Devil's Rejects are back together. On the run from the law, the three flee to Mexico, willing to kill anyone who gets in their way. However, a group of killer want to end them. Who will survive the carnage that will come?
'Three from Hell' is the sequel of 'The Devil's Rejects' and 'House of 1000 Corpses'. As the last chapters of this horror saga, the movie is directed and written by Rob Zombie ('Halloween', 'The lords of Salem').The film counts again with the main trio of 'The Devil's Rejects': Sheri Moon Zombie ('Halloween', 'The lords of Salem'), Bill Moseley ('Repo! The genetic Opera', 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2') an Sid Haig ('Bone Tomahawk'), 'Suicide Beginners'). The origin of Foxy Coltrane
Rob Zombie revealed that his original script featured a much larger role for Captain Spaulding, played by actor Sid Haig. However, upon receiving word that Haig was in the hospital recovering from surgery, Zombie visited him at the rehabilitation facility and was alarmed by the drastic changes in his physique, most notably that he had lost a significant amount of weight. Zombie realized that Haig's health was in serious question, and he was forced to reconsider Captain Spaulding's prominence in the story. After numerous rewrites, Zombie introduced the character Foxy Coltrane, played by frequent collaborator Richard Brake, as a way of filling in for the 3rd Firefly Family member without necessarily replacing Captain Spaulding altogether.
'Helter Skelter'
The movie poster featuring the black and white eyes, mugshot style photos across the bottom, and striking red font is meant to be a reference to the poster for 1976's 'Helter Skelter'.
