Toy Story 5

'Toy Story 5' is an American animated comedy directed by Andrew Stanton with a screenplay by Stanton himself alongside Kenna Harris. It is the fifth installment of the popular Toy Story saga, produced by Pixar, and a direct sequel to 'Toy Story 4', released seven years earlier. It is the first film in the saga that does not feature the involvement of its creator, John Lasseter, who left Pixar in 2018.

The story takes place two years after the events of the last film, and the spotlight focuses mainly on Jessie. Bonnie is now eight years old and receives a new and unexpected toy: a frog-shaped tablet called Lilypad. The group panics, thinking that Bonnie is going to replace all of them with screens.

It's a battle of toys against technology in which Jessie emerges as the new leader within Bonnie's room, determined that all the toys win the game against digital media. The film does not seek to demonize new technologies, but rather to explore concepts such as loneliness or the importance of real bonds.

In its original version, 'Toy Story 5' stars actress Joan Cusack, who returns as the voice of Jessie. Tom Hanks and Tim Allen also return as the unforgettable Woody and Buzz. The film also incorporates new additions such as Greta Lee, who voices Lilypad, and Conan O'Brien as Smarty Pants.

'Toy Story 5' also features the participation of singer Taylor Swift, whose collaboration was kept secret until the last moment. She performs the main theme of the soundtrack, "I Knew It, I Knew You", which she also co-wrote with Jack Antonoff.
