Under Your Feet

'Under Your Feet' is a Hispano-Argentinian horror film directed by Cristian Bernard with a script by Bernard himself and Ana Esperanza Villar. The film, shot in the Basque Country and with the participation of Netflix and RTVE, premieres in theaters in Spain on May 8, 2026.

The protagonist is Isabel, played by Maribel Verdú, a mother who moves with her two children to a new and elegant building in Bilbao to start a new family life with her little ones. The apartment has a surprisingly low rent, and the family has to go through a peculiar admission process to access the housing, but they manage to overcome it.

Once settled in, when calm reigns at home, they begin to hear screams coming from the apartment below, where three elderly women supposedly live. The initial complaints soon prove fruitless, and Isabel tries to understand what is happening in this building, where the enigmatic ladies gradually intrude into her daily routine. Fear, distrust, and the appearance of ghosts from the past terrify Isabel, who must confront the mystery that lies beneath her feet.

'Under Your Feet' completes its cast with Sofía Otero and Ibai Atanes as Isabel's children, alongside Urko Olazabal, Erik Probanza, and Marcelo Galván.
