Unicorn Wars

'Unicorn Wars' tells the story of how the bear army indoctrinates young recruits for the war they wage against unicorns and threaten the safety of the bear town. The brothers Azulín and Gordi, together with a group of recruits with little experience in combat, will be sent on a risky mission to save the Magical Forest. How will the little bears defend themselves? Will they achieve their goals?

'Unicorn Wars' is a production by Iván Miñambres (UniKo), Chelo Loureiro (Abano) and Nicolás Schmerkin (Autour de Minuit), which has had the support and participation of TVE, EITB, TVG, Movistar, ICAA, Agadic, Eurimages, Media and CNC. The person in charge of its soundtrack is Joseba Beristain (Elcano and Magallanes, the first trip around the world) who uses electronic as a basis made with synthesizers, joining it to dramatic parts with a lot of action, all combined with sacred music for the mystical part. of the feature film. Joseba Beristain collaborates with the Orfeón Donostiarra whose members give the film's soundtrack a magical character. 'Unicorn Wars' is directed by Alberto Vázquez, animation director, illustrator and comic book artist. He has written and directed animated short films such as 'Birdboy', 'Sangre de Unicornio', 'Decorado' and 'Homeless Home', and his projects have won three Goya Awards: for Best Animated Short Film for 'Birdboy' in 2012, for Best Set in 2017 and for Best Animated Feature Film by 'Birdboy: The Forgotten Children' in 2017. The cast is made up of the performers Ramón Barea and Itxaso Quintana who contribute their voices to give realism to this mythological and dark universe represented in the feature film.
