Varados

'Varados' is the new film by Helena Taberna, who steps into the role of screenwriter-director. The film centres around the refugee crisis that has been growing in the Mediterranean and across the European continent for years. The film follows the millions of refugees hoping that Europe will welcome them and the conditions in which they are forced to live whilst the continent closes its doors. The day to day lives of these men and women in refugee camps in locations across Greece, including Athens, and in occupied buildings is marked by the agonizing wait for the papers that will allow them to rebuild their lives.
