We Are Not Alone

Edmund Goulding directs 'We Are Not Alone', starring Paul Muni, Uno O'Connor and Jane Bryan. The film is an adaptation of a novel by James Hilton, who also wrote the script. 'We Are Not Alone' presents Dr. David Newcome (Paul Muni), his wife Jessica (Flora Robson) and their son Gerald (Raymond Severn). Jessica doesn't understand her son's needs, and his husband decides to hire on of his patients, an Australian dancer called Leni (Jane Bryan) to take care if his son. When Jessica finds out who is this woman, what is her past and why she is so far away from her country, ending in a small town in England, she will do anything to convince her husband that they must fire Leni immediately.
