Wine Country's reviews
Media reviews
The Wrap
'Wine Country' shows that women in their 50s are in one of the best phases of their lives, a time to be celebrated, welcomed, and enjoyed with good friends and good wine.
Variety
'Wine Country' just doesn?t have the same ambition, coming across as that laid-back kind of movie that must have been fun for all involved to make. Still, half a dozen characters may have been too many.
Los Angeles Times
It isn?t good, exactly ? as boozy friend-reunion comedies go, it?s no ?Girls Trip? or ?The World?s End? ? but it has its ticklish grace notes, plus some first-rate second and third bananas, despite a script that seems to be working both too hard and not hard enough.
Time
'Wine Country' springs to life here and there, but there?s something dispiriting about the way these women seem to be working hard for laughs rather than just being funny.
The Playlist
It?s not that 'Wine Country' is entirely without laughs. With this many funny women in a movie together, there are bound to be good jokes? and there are?but many of them don?t land or don?t land as hard as they?re trying to.
