Wonder's reviews
Media reviews
The Hollywood Reporter
Winningly unpretentious, just like its central characters.
The Wrap
'Wonder' never cheats in its pursuit of emotion. It?s (almost) never mawkish or manipulative, and its characters are so well-established both in the writing and in the performances that the movie ultimately does the hard work of earning those damp Kleenexes.
Indiewire
'Wonder' is a how-to guide for kindness; a good lesson for kids, and a helpful reminder for adults. It?s not like the world couldn't use it.
Variety
Screen Daily
'Wonder' wrings tears at times(...), but the film gets progressively manipulative. The subject matter is inherently emotional, and the film eventually starts piling up increasingly mawkish sequences that feel contrived to elicit precise audience responses.
The Guardian
The movie appears very well intentioned, but those good intentions may be as fabricated as everything else here(...). It is a film with all the depth of a fridge magnet.
