Wondrous Boccaccio

Movie set in Florence during 1348-1349 when the Black Death was destroying the whole Italy. A group of ten young people decide to leave the city for settling in a rural house to flee of the urban core and the effects that illness are provoking there. When the young people arrive to his new home, they propose to count every day one short different story. From the stories constructed by the characters there will be forged legends of love, passion, intrigues, mysteries, revenges and betrayals that will take as a backdrop one of the most important epochs of the Middle Ages. Based on the book of novellas 'The Decameron' from Giovanni Boccaccio.

Film is directed by Paolo Taviani and Vittorio Taviani, and starred by Lello Arena, Paola Cortellesi, Carolina Crescentini, Flavio Parenti and Vittoria Puccini.
