Yao

Yao is a 13-years-old boy who lives in a small village in the north of Senegal. His hero is Seydou Tall, a famous French actor, and he would do anything to meet him in person. The actor is invited to Dakar to promote his new book, which leads him to visit Yao's country for the first time. The kid, in order to fulfill his dream, organizes a brave and complicated escape in which he will have to travel 387 kilometers totally alone to the capital. When Yao finally meets him, Tall is moved by the child's passion, so he abandons his obligations to accompany him to his home. But, traveling through the dusty roads of Senegal, the actor realizes that he is not accompanying only to his village, but is also on his way to know his roots.
