Zaniki

The protagonist of the story to which he gives his name is Zaniki, an eight-year-old boy who feels great admiration for his grandfather. Eusebio Mayalde is a most picturesque countryman whose profession is to be a shaman. The nights of the full moon howls to the sky like a wolf, sings, dances and makes music with any type of object. In this way, the daily life of the family is totally unpredictable. Of course, Zaniki observes with attention and admiration, and his grandfather goes out of his way to teach him everything that is not taught in school. His classes focus on the connection with nature and the experience of feeling and living the tradition from the inside. With the intention that Zaniki relieves his grandfather as a troubadour of the tradition, both embark on a trip to the Castilian plateau.
