It appears as though Giselle is to return to our screens, batteries fully recharged. Adam Shankman, who will be directing the 'Enchanted' sequel let the news slip at the TCA's, where he was on a panel celebrating the series 'Step Up: High Water'. "We are handing in a script in a couple weeks that I'm super happy with. Then gotta get the music written", mentioned the director.

For now, we don't have a release date for 'Disenchanted', although one thing for certain, is that Amy Adams will return to reprise her role as Giselle. The sequel is rumored to take place 10 years after the events of the first film, and focus on just what it means to live happily ever after. At the end of 'Enchanted', Giselle chose to remain in the real world with Robert Philip (Patrick Dempsey), but, was that the right decision?

The sequel will, of course, feature many animated scenes and musical numbers.

Other Disney sequels

Aside from 'Disenchanted', 'Mary Poppins Returns', 'Princess Diaries 3', 'Pete's Dragon 2' and 'Hocus Pocus 2', are all supposedly currently in the works.
