Despite there being more than a year to wait for the eighth and final season of 'Game of Thrones', week by week, new fan theories seem to popping up left, right and centre. Each of the theories attempts to predict how the eighth season will play out.

 'Game of Thrones'

The latest theory to catch our eye has come on the behalf of a Reddit user. The theory speaks of storylines we may see in the upcoming season, beginning with Jaime, who'll succeed in convincing the Lannister army to join him in heading to the North. Both armies will fight off and beat the White Walkers despite the absence of the Night King and his dragon.

The Night King's absence is due to him flying south to "destroy King's Landing, trading his army of 100,000 for the 1,000,000 in King's Landing including Cersei". Euron and The Golden Company will also head to King's Landing where they'll be caught in a trap that ends in their deaths and them ultimately joining the Night King's army.

Meanwhile, Daenerys finds out she's pregnant, leaving Bran and Sam to keep her secret from Jon. On top of all of that, "Jamie kills Cersei to fulfill the witch's prophecy". You can have a read of the full fan theory here.

When will GoT return?

The internet has been alive with speculation after Metro supposedly quoted Maisie Williams revealing that the air date for season 8 would be sometime in April 2019. However, the actress herself took to Twitter to clarify matters, stating that the interview from which her quote was taken is several years old.
