Netflix series 'Santa Clarita Diet' returned to the streaming platform for a second season just this past 23rd March 2018, and now it's been revealed a third season consisting of 10 episodes is in the works. The comedy series, headlined by Drew Barrymore, Timothy Olyphant, Liv Hewson and Skyler Gisondo sees a family's lives turn upside down when one of them becomes a zombie!

It's too early yet to say what the third season will be about, but one thing, for sure, is that they'll definitely be looking further into the cause of the zombie outbreak. Perhaps in finding the origin, they'll be able to find a cure and invite a semblance of normality back into their lives.

The uncertain future for Netflix series
To begin with, we thought Netflix series were doing so well that their successful futures were never in question, of late, however, that's not been the case. 'Gypsy' , 'Girlboss' and 'Everything Sucks' have all been left open ended after not obtaining the go ahead on a second season. Thankfully 'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt' and 'Sense8' haven't been given the same treatment.
