Saga A Nightmare on Elm Street

'Nightmare on Elm Street' is one of the most famous sagas of horror movie history. His films focus on the villain Freddy Krueger, a murderer with a burned face, striped jersey and equipped with a glove with blades that appears in the nightmares of people, killing them while they sleep. This character was created by the late horror film director Wes Craven and played for a couple of decades by the American actor Robert Englund that was replaced after 2003 by Jackie Earle Haley.

The saga of 'Nightmare on Elm Street' make up a total of 9 films including the original directed by Wes Craven, a crossover in which Freddy Krueger faces another great horror film villains Jason Voorhees 'Friday the 13th' and a remake directed by Samuel Bayer, which is the first film in which Englund doesn´t play his mythical character.

The first 'Nightmare on Elm Street' was the artistic debut of actor Johnny Depp.
